Reggae singer Jah Cure has finally found what he’s been longing for – that elusive thing called love, which has been the subject and inspiration for many of his popular hits. On Sunday, August 7, the artiste born Siccature Alcock will tie the knot with media personality and fitness trainer/sports nutritionist Kamila McDonald at an afternoon wedding scheduled to take place in the second city of Montego Bay in St. James.
The couple talked openly about their upcoming nuptials in the press room at the recently concluded Reggae Sumfest show, and it was clear from his ebullient disposition that Jah Cure was in a very happy place. Some four years have passed since his release from prison, and things have been progressing well for the talented crooner. Guests at the wedding will have the opportunity to hear a song that he penned specifically for the occasion, which has never been played or performed anywhere before.
A Stanford University honours graduate, Kamila entered the Miss Jamaica World pageant in 2009 and won the Beach Beauty competition. She commenced her Jamrock Fitness operations in the same year and also appeared in Jah Cure’s music video for the song “Never Find”.
Jah Cure, who has delivered hits such as “Longing For”, “Love Is” and “Unconditional Love”, is expected to drop his “World Cry” album this month. He is also slated for an upcoming tour of Africa.
