Veteran Jamaican race car driver Peter “Zoom Zoom” Rae is definitely not content with the idea of being just another driver in the pack, trailing behind a certain Mitsubishi Evolution VIII and Audi TT in what has become the Summerbell-Gore show on the local motor racing circuit. He’s added turbocharge to the Mazda RX7, giving it a lot more pace. With new tires and a gear box ratio change, Rae is setting his sights on kicking some apples out the cart at the Jamaica Race Drivers’ Club (JRDC) Independence of Speed race meet at Dover, St. Ann on August 6 & 7.

Hilary Jardine, President of the JRDC, has indicated that patrons can expect improved facilities, infrastructure and amenities such new roads, a better food court and more convenient parking.
