Some nine years ago, she proudly represented Jamaica in the 52nd Miss World pageant in 2002 at Alexandra Palace, London, United Kingdom. Today, she continues to represent her country with pride in another area – one that has her catching waves in the Caribbean, the US East Coast and South America. Meet 27-year-old Danielle O’Hayon, former beauty queen, a certified fitness instructor and one of the top female surfers in the island.

At the recent 2011 Makka Pro surfing contest in St. Thomas, O’Hayon finished second behind winner Imani Wilmot. Before the finals at the event, Pree Jamaica conducted a brief video interview with her, which can be viewed below.
