BMW Innovation Club, in collaboration with the Lacartin Model Agency, staged a car and fashion show dubbed “Exotic Cars ‘N’ Fashion” on July 22 at Gee Wee Restaurant on Caledonia Road in Kingston. The event featured an impressive range of BMWs, as well as sweet rides on from other clubs such as Skunk Nation. Engines roared, exhausts breathed flames and rubber burned on the asphalt of Gee Wee’s parking lot, much to the delight of the car enthusiasts present at the venue.
Lacartin models rocked the runway in designer clothing, with some of the more risqué ensembles drawing oohs and aahs from the crowd. The event was hosted by the vivacious Latoya “Latty J” Jackson of Digicel Rising Stars fame.
The BMW Innovation Club is the first of its kind in Jamaica. Conceptualised by Dave Lumley (a.k.a. Mr. BMW), the club is seeking to gain recognition both locally and internationally as a bona fide car club.
