Veteran journalist and fine artist Thorold Demercado marked his return to the land of his birth with his second solo exhibition titled “Home Again” at The Jamaica Pegasus Gallery in New Kingston on Tuesday, July 24. Having been domiciled in England since 1996, where he worked for the Financial Times and The Voice, Thorold is back in time to celebrate Jamaica’s 50th year of Independence by showcasing his favourite landscapes, still life and portraits in oils and acrylic.

Thorold mounted his first solo art exhibition in 2007 under the theme “Coming Home”. His latest exhibition is slated to run until August 11.
