Redbones Blues Café was abuzz with excitement on August 17, as the patrons who packed into the venue eagerly anticipated the performance of the lovely songstress Denyque at her first headline show. Dressed in a sexy, close-fitting black romper, the ascendant starlet’s disarming smile, effervescent personality and delightful talent easily won over the crowd from the outset. It was only a matter of time before she was “Juggling Hearts”, and it became very apparent that the audience was “hooked on” Denyque.

She served up fan-favourites and the occasional cover, and also premiered the music video for “Supergirl”, which was directed by RD Studios. Following a brief intermission, Denyque returned to the stage in a flowing Lubica dress and delivered “Not What I’m Used To” from an elevated platform at the front of the stage.

Another wardrobe change ensued, and the artiste returned on stage donning a bustier top, white skirt and boots. Her set featured cameos from Delus and Chino, and despite audio challenges with the microphone during parts of her performance, she brought the show to a strong close with “Summer Love”.
