Under the glow of the beautiful Blue Moon, music lovers gathered at Wickie Wackie Beach in Bull Bay, St. Andrew for the third staging of the Tribal Council’s “Vibes Is Right” vinyl party on Friday, August 31. The event, which has a growing reputation as the “ultimate vintage vinyl dance party”, featured exclusive roots reggae vinyl selections from Gabre Selessie – the main DJ, and guest DJs Yaadcore and Rory of Stone Love fame.

Among the talented cadre of artistes who touched the mic during the “version” segment and delighted the audience were Protoje, Kabaka Pyramid, Chronixx, Hempress Sativa and the Tribal Council’s own Janine “Jah9” Cunningham.

The ambience at the Blue Moon (the second full moon in a calendar month) edition of “Vibes Is Right” was nothing short of amazing. The natural vibe was reinforced by the elements of water and fire – the waves crashing on the shore and the bonfire blazing on the beach. Patrons at the event also had the opportunity to enjoy fine organic wines and other culinary delights.
