Any discussion on Monique “Mahima” Geourzong and her fight against breast cancer would not be complete without acknowledging her tremendous strength and courage. Despite her passing in 2010, the fight continues with the same strength, courage and conviction through her Mahima Foundation, which staged the fourth annual Mahima Hope4Hope charity concert on October 28 at Hope Gardens to raise funds for the Hope Institute – a free hospital for cancer patients, which she held in high regard.

The concert, which had its original September 30 date postponed due to inclement weather, boasted an impressive line-up that featured Skygrass, Jah9, Jesse Royal, Raging Fyah, DaVille, I-Wayne, The Mighty Diamonds, Alaine, Richie Spice, Duane Stephenson and Beenie Man. While the audience turnout suffered in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, those present enjoyed the variety and quality of the entertainment, as evidenced by the photo highlights below.
