Racquell Brown’s all natural, all Jamaican Irie Rock line of skincare and beauty products was born out of her love of natural products and a strong desire to own her own business. Her journey into the world of entrepreneurism started some four years ago, and so far she has enjoyed an appreciable measure of success. Irie Rock products are now available in hotels such as SuperClubs, Riu, Half Moon, Sunset Jamaica Grande and the Ritz-Carlton.

The products are also available in a number of pharmacies across the island, and Brown is currently looking to expand into overseas markets. The Irie Rock line features a range of mood-boosting scents, namely Papaya Path, Mango Walk, Coconut Sensation, Vanilla Bliss, Citrus Fields, Coffee Delight, Pineapple Express, Watermelon Fresh, Jamaican Cocoa Butter and the charity line Passion (I Dare U) – with the proceeds being donated to a different charity each year.
Brown’s base of operations is Spauldings in Clarendon, where she has a manufacturing lab and employs five people. She was one of nine women from the Commonwealth who benefited from full sponsorship to attend the Spring Fair International in the UK in February this year. Having single-handedly developed her line of natural skincare products, Brown is now looking to take her business to even greater heights.
