“Live From Kingston”, a live music project conceptualised by I&I Worldwide to showcase the new wave of talented artistes with real potential to penetrate international markets, got off to a strong start on Saturday, November 17 at Base Kingston & Belle in Upper Manor Park Plaza. The first instalment of the series, which is being described as a “new engine” to boost the “revival” of reggae and live music, featured entertaining performances from Chronixx, Keida, Iba Mahr and Blu Kid.

According to recording artist Protoje, one of the principals behind the I&I Worldwide outfit promoting the series, the event extends beyond music as it seeks to fuse the arts and offer exposure to emerging talent across various disciplines.

“So apart from witnessing these very talented musicians in action, you will have a chance to view and buy art, fashion, books, whatever, all created by gifted Jamaicans. It’s all about exposing the energy in all its expressions to people who might not yet be aware of it,” said Protoje.

Live From Kingston is a pop-up event that can happen anywhere, anytime. For more information, follow the movement at @LiveFromKGN
