Regina Beavers, former Miss Jamaica World (2001), media personality and actress, is on a mission to nurture the creative energy in children through her Expression Through Creativity (ETC) Christmas Camp, which is scheduled to take place from December 17 to 22 at the Spartan Health Club. The week-long camp, which is open to children ages 6 to 12, is designed to facilitate the continued creative growth and development of children through a range of activities and creative workshops.

The eclectic ETC team of skilled teachers and nurturing counsellors include UWI Dance Society alum Janelle DeFreitas, Nicholas Ashton, Art Institute graduate, filmmaker Kyle Chin (Los Angeles Film School graduate), musician Rasheed McCallum (Lead Guitarist – Skygrass), and child and adolescent therapist Shani Davies. Beavers will be sharing her talent and expertise in the areas of presentation skills, etiquette and drama at the camp, which will feature entertainer Wayne Marshall as a celebrity guest.

ETC is about inspiring children and encouraging them to “grow socially, physically, mentally and creatively — opening the pathway and laying the foundation for a lifetime of self-discovery and development”. The camp supports the Angel of Love charity and will culminate with a grand exhibition show on December 22. For more information, visit the ETC Camp Facebook page or email etccreativecamp@gmail.com.
