Twenty-five beauties, up from the customary 20, will compete for the coveted crown in the 2013 Suzuki Miss Jamaica World Beauty Pageant, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 21 at the Montego Bay Convention Centre in St. James. The winner of pageant will have the opportunity to represent the island in the Miss World (Global) Competition on September 28 at the Sentul International Convention Centre in Bali, Indonesia.


 The Miss Jamaica World 2013 winner will also secure for herself a brand new Suzuki Kizashi luxury sports car valued at J$4.55M – insured by ICWI and protected by Guardsman Alarms’ GMedic plan for one year. Her prize package will also include incentives such as a Miss World wardrobe; a training package from Fusion Consulting Limited, on screen film training from Frame by Frame and access to a full university scholarship courtesy of The University College of the Caribbean, University of London or Kursk State Medical University.

 The 25 finalists in the pageant are Gina Hargitay, Jameal Clarke, Ariel Brown, Kathryn Davis, Paige Smith, Latoya Johnson, Arianna Bartley, Candice Hayles, Sara-K Webley, Sheree Tomlinson, Jessica Campbell, Vannessa Metzger, Shana Simpson, Christine Davis, Shanice Rerrie, Nastashia Bryan, Stephanie Bignall, Dianne Brown, Toni- Ann Hibbert, Melissa Frater, Ashley Miller, Stephanie Harrison, Johanna Saddler, Amanda McCreath and Jenaae Jackson.

The winner of each of the five Fast Track Competitions within the contest earn automatic placement in the Top 10 at the Grand Coronation Show slated for Sunday, July 21 at the Montego Bay Convention Centre.

Leading up to the Grand Coronation Show, the finalists underwent rigorous training in image building, speech, deportment, time management, protocol, business and social etiquette, personal development, presentation skills as well as career and entrepreneurial development from Fusion Consulting Limited.

 Franchise Holder Laura Butler noted that, “Personality, intelligence, general conversation, presentation skills as well as conduct and discipline will be of particular focus for judges at the Grand Coronation Show.”
