The JamrockerZ, the Jamaican men’s national basketball team, made history in its first appearance in the 2013 FIBA Americas Championship in September by advancing to the second round and scoring major upsets against two teams ranked in the top ten in the world in the process. The Sam Vincent-coached JamrockerZ finished 8th in the 10-team tournament but managed to shock the basketball world by defeating Brazil (78-76), the 9th ranked team on the planet, and Argentina (81-75), the world’s 3rd best team.
