Bajan pop princess Rihanna is set to host her first annual Diamond Ball on December 11. The ball is a benefit for her Clara Lionel Foundation – which aims to improve and promote health, education, the arts and culture globally.
The singer started the foundation – named in honour of her grandparents Clara and Lionel Braithwaite – in 2012. Proceeds will go toward multimillion-dollar improvements at The Clara Brathwaite Centre for Oncology and Nuclear Medicine at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Barbados, where her grandmother passed.
Rihanna announced that the black tie event will be held at The Vineyard in California will host approximately 600 guests. Actor Brad Pitt will introduce the entertainer while talk-show host and comedian Jimmy Kimmel will host.
