Twenty-two-year-old Regina Harding will represent Jamaica in the 2014 staging of the Miss Caraibes Hibiscus pageant. Harding achieved top-3 and top-12 finishes in the Miss Jamaica World Cornwall 2014 and Miss Jamaica World pageants, respectively. In the latter, she strutted pass competition to cop the title of Miss Jamaica World Model 2014.

Harding – armed with “The Respect for Life” construct as the spirit of her manifesto – heads to the French Caribbean to make a bid for the title of Miss Caraibes Hibiscus. The annual international pageant, which had its inaugural exposition in 1990, will host participants from the Caribbean and the Americas. The winner is tasked with representing the region, globally. The pageant takes place on December 6th at the Casino Royale in St Maarten.

Jamaica’s only win came in 1993 via Rachel Stuart – Miss Jamaica Universe 1993 and former host of BET’s Caribbean Rhythms, Planet Groove programmes.
